At Exeter Heating, we don’t just carry out heating installation, servicing, and repairs. We are fully qualified heating and plumbing engineers, and we can carry out all aspects of general plumbing work including complete bathroom and kitchen refits.

If you want a new bathroom, as many people do, we can produce a bathroom design in Exeter for you that incorporates everything that you need. We will sit down with you and listen to your ideas, and we can give you advice on the most appropriate equipment for your space, and help to ensure that you get the bathroom or kitchen of your dreams. Our team has experience of installing baths, showers, basins, tiles, and more, made by a variety of different manufacturers, and this means that we can advise you on the best for your individual requirements: we don’t favour one manufacturer over another.

Over the years we have worked with many other local tradesmen, and that means that we can put together a team including carpenters, electricians, tiling contractors, plasterers, and so on so that you get the best people for the job. That means that you don’t have to just use us for the plumbing and heating and then start looking for tilers or carpenters, for instance, because we have people that we trust and have worked with, so we can guarantee that they will do a perfect job.

We can also install underfloor heating in your bathroom – or any other room for that matter. When you have a tiled floor, which is the choice of many people for their new bathroom, you don’t want to step out of the shower on to cold tiles, so underfloor heating is the answer. You will be warm and comfortable whatever the weather is doing outside.

When it comes to plumbing repairs, we totally understand that plumbing issues can cause disruption to your life, so we always aim to get one of our experts out to you fast. Leaking taps, weak water pressure, and faulty ventilation are not only a nuisance, but if not fixed promptly they can also cause structural damage to your home, so it is critical that they are put right as soon as possible. Our team has the experience that you need, and everyone takes a pride in doing the job right so that the problem is fixed, and you don’t need to worry.

There are several trends in bathroom design in 2020, one of which is brass. Brass plumbing and taps make a statement and are just so different from boring old chrome. They can also be teamed with brass door handles and drawer pulls.

There is also a trend to warmer earthy tones, and white marble is definitely on the way out. In its’ place are things like travertine and limestone which are available in a range of warmer colours. However, not all marble is white – it comes in a choice of colours – and you can also get marbleised wallpaper which looks like marble but costs a lot less (obviously).

No bathroom would be complete without mirrors, and framed ones which are backlit are in fashion. They instantly give the impression of more space in the room. Indeed, we have seen a bathroom where a whole wall was covered in mirrors, resulting in the room look twice as large. Another trend for walls – and floors as well – is for shaped tiles. Rather than the square or rectangular tiles of yesterday, funkier shapes such as hexagons and scallops are coming into fashion.

Brighten up that shower with an acrylic panel at the back. You can get acrylic panels in amazing designs and patterns to provide a shower space that is very different from the norm. You can also have coloured sanitary ware – basins and baths are available in dark blue and even black, which makes a big change from dreary old white. Paired with brass taps, they can look stunning.

So whatever your needs for plumbing, at Exeter Heating we’ve got you covered. Let’s sit down together and work out a design for your new bathroom or kitchen that will have you the envy of your friends and family.
